Our step-by-step guide describes how to configure social networks registration on your captive portal.
Overview
User Experience
To initiate the guest connection, the guest needs to follow these steps:
Step 1 : Connect to the designated SSID.
Step 2 : Visitors are greeted with a captive portal where they can choose to log in by using their social network credentials.
Step 3 : The visitor clicks on the social network of their choice, they will accept the terms of use and privacy and then he will be redirected to the social network login confirmation page
For instance "Facebook"
Step 4 : Visitor completes the authentication process on their social network login page.
For instance "Facebook"
Step 5 : The authentication process will be done on the backend and visitor is then redirected to the Redirect URL (e.g. your company website).
Warning
The following authentication providers are supported by Cloudi-Fi
-
Facebook
-
X / Twitter
-
Linkedin
-
Kakao
- TikTok
Warning : for Google, when you connect on iPhone or Android, the captive portal is opened in a "mini-Browser popup." Natively, this "mini-Browser popup" is not trusted by Google, and therefore Google blocks access.
Please ensure that domains to access these social networks are whitelisted in your architecture (see Set up a walled garden for your captive portal)
