Additional options for improved security and user experience
Some additional option(s) can be enabled (on back end side) such as
- Transparent authentication of the guest occurs after sponsor approval. Once the sponsor approves the request, the guest will be automatically authenticated and will receive their login credentials, which can be used to authenticate another device, if needed.
- SAML authentication for the sponsor. In step 2.3, after clicking on "Access Request," the sponsor may be redirected to your Active Directory (e.g., Azure, Google, AD FS, Okta) where they will need to authenticate before being able to access the web page to approve the guest's access. For instance, here is an article showing how to set up SAML authentication for your Sponsors with Okta.
- Required field : Specify information required from visitors during the registration process . This could include personal details (e.g. email address, phone number), consent forms, or acceptance of terms and conditions to ensure comprehensive and compliant user profiles.
- SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) Verification: SMTP verification to confirm the authenticity of the email address provided by the visitor. This step ensures that the email account is active and capable of receiving messages, enhancing security, and reducing the risk of fraudulent registrations.
