Step-by-step instructions to create campaigns to push dynamic content to your Visitors
Use case
With campaigns, we give you the power to manage dynamic content displayed on your portals.
You can use campaigns for different use cases like events, advertising, or information.
Events: If you host a special event and want your customers to know about it, push a campaign, and you can bind it to a period
Advertising: Launch advertising campaigns quickly on your guest's Wi-Fi. Could you target them to your new visitors or reward regulars with a special offer?
Information: Communicate on essential topics through the rich channel of your guests' Wi-Fi. Campaigns are flexible. You can be pretty specific and show a campaign only in the evening and only for your guests who sign in with Facebook at one of your locations to invite them to an event that night. You could retarget them with a Facebook event to engage them further.
Prerequisites
You’ll need a compatible portal to display your campaigns effectively. To activate your account's campaign module, you can contact your support team (see How to contact your support?).
1. Create your campaign
-
Log in to the Cloudi-Fi Admin User Interface (UI) and navigate to Portals > Campaign.
-
Select New Campaign.
-
Enter the following details:
- Name: Specify a name for your campaign.
- Type: Choose your campaign type.
There are three campaign types:
- Banner: Displays media either before or after the authentication forms.
- Background: Changes the background image of the portal.
- Splash: Displays media over the authentication forms.
- Once you've set up the basics, click Let's Start to proceed.
2. Set your Campaign content
Effective targeting ensures your promotional messages are delivered to the most receptive audience. To facilitate this, our campaign creation tool is intricately designed and equipped with various options that enable you to fine-tune your campaigns with precision. This capability ensures that your marketing efforts are directed specifically toward visitors most likely to show interest in your offering.
Depending on your message, you can convey it in a different form.
- Image or Video will be resized fluidly to fit the template it's put into while maintaining its ratio.
- Plain text can replace or follow a picture. For instance, you can use it to inform your guests about a particular event. You can also open a text popup to display long text in a friendlier user interface for your guests.

To ensure optimal display and quick loading, please adhere to the following specifications for images and videos:

3. Location-Based Targeting
Selective Location Visibility: In the positioning step, choose specific countries or cities where you want your campaign to be visible, enabling highly focused country or city-specific campaigns.
4. Audience Targeting Options
- Guest Type Filtering: Tailor your campaign to new or returning guests, which is perfect for implementing a reward program for loyal visitors.
- Authentication-Based Targeting: To complement your multichannel strategy, select campaigns based on the user's authentication method, such as email or social networks.
- Device-Specific Campaigns: Adjust your campaign for different devices, utilizing SMS for mobile users and taking advantage of larger screens for computer users.
5. Positioning
-
-
Page (for "Banner" and "Splash" types): Select where to display your campaign:
-
Sign-up page: The page where users register or log in to access the network.
-

- Every page: Visible on both pages (Sign-up and Landing)
-

6. Planning your campaign
- Scheduled Timing: Set precise start and end dates for your campaign, including the start date and the end date exclusive.
- Hourly Limits: Schedule your campaign to appear during specific hours, making it ideal for time-sensitive events.
- Day-Specific Campaigns: Display your campaign on particular days, like weekends, to reach your target audience better.
7. Update your existing campaigns
You can manage all your campaigns on the campaigns list page. It is the entry point to everything you can do with campaigns and offers many excellent features. If you click on a particular campaign, it will open the details pane. It contains all the targeting information for this campaign, its positioning on the template, a thumbnail of the associated media, if there is one, and a report showing how your campaign fares over time.
By clicking on the pen, you can edit your campaign, modify it to better suit your needs, and increase its popularity.
If you don't need a campaign anymore, just click on the trashcan to delete it.
