At Cloudi-Fi, our subscription model is designed to align with the needs of businesses that operate across multiple locations and manage both employee and guest users. This model provides flexibility based on three key usage parameters: Maximum Locations, Maximum Guests, and Maximum Employees. In this article, we’ll break down how our subscription model works, how these parameters are defined, and how you can easily view your subscription consumption to ensure your business stays on top of its usage.
Understanding the Key Metrics
Our subscription is structured around three main consumption metrics that reflect the activity of your users across your organization. Each metric is measured over a specific timeframe, giving you the flexibility to scale as needed while optimizing costs.
See Admin UI > Settings > Company Account > Subscription
Maximum Locations
Definition: This metric tracks the maximum number of active Locations from which users are accessing the system.
What is an Active Location? A location is considered active if it has recorded authentications within the last 3 months.
How it works: We calculate the maximum number of unique locations that have had user logins during this period, and this figure represents your Maximum Locations for billing purposes.
See Admin UI > Settings > Company Account > Location Activity
Maximum Guests
Definition: This metric tracks the maximum number of concurrent guest sessions over the last 3 months.
What is a Guest Session? A guest session refers to a temporary user accessing the system, typically visitors or external stakeholders who need limited access to your services.
How it works: We identify the peak number of guest users that have been concurrently active at any point during the 3-month period. This peak number represents your Maximum Guests.
See Admin UI > Settings > Company Account > Session Activity
Maximum Employees
Definition: This metric tracks the cumulative number of employees that have connected to the system over the last 3 months.
What is an Employee? A user is classified as an employee if they log in using an email address that belongs to your company domain. This helps distinguish internal users from external ones.
How it works: Over the last 9 weeks, we accumulate the total number of unique employee sessions.
