Features and enhancements
Cloudi-Fi policies – Access and session control
Cloudi-Fi now offers a comprehensive Policies framework that allows administrators to manage access, session privileges, and registration workflows based on flexible, criteria-driven rules.
Whether you're managing employees, guests, or IoT devices, policies let you define who can connect, when, and under what conditions, all while maintaining security and control.
Policies are grouped into three main categories:
1. Access control policies
Allow or deny user authentication based on a combination of criteria such as location, user profile, country, template, and datetime — enabling precise, context-aware access control tailored to your network policies.
2. Privilege policies
Define user session behavior after login with granular controls such as session duration, maximum number of connected devices, VLAN ID assignment for 802.1X or MAC based setups — ensuring consistent access policies across your network.
3. Registration policies
Empower administrators with flexible control over Cloudi-Fi registration rules. Define allowed or denied elements such as:
- Guest profiles
- Guest email domains
- Sponsor identification requirements
- And many other customizable options
Recycle and reuse location identifiers
Continuing our soft-delete strategy, the location identifier recycling feature now allows previously deleted identifiers to be easily retrieved and reused — streamlining data management and reducing configuration overhead.
Improved Zscaler sync stability and debugging
Zscaler synchronization process has been enhanced for improved stability and reliability. Key updates include:
- Robust handling of edge cases to minimize sync disruptions
- Expanded logging for easier debugging and better visibility
- Improved fault tolerance, ensuring more consistent and resilient synchronization
Meraki synchronization optimization
- Optimized API usage to reduce unnecessary calls and improve efficiency
- Robust error handling to prevent sync failures and edge case disruptions
- Improved reliability, ensuring smoother and more consistent integration with the Meraki platform
Captive Portal Identification (CPI) enhancement
Cloudi-Fi now leverages DHCP option-based detection to more accurately trigger captive portal environments across a wide range of devices and network setups. This enhancement improves the reliability of authentication flows, reduces login issues, and ensures a faster, more seamless onboarding experience for end users.
